Tony Traguardo will host a SoundSwap event featuring the Roues Brothers, who will bring the ‘History of Blues to Rock’ to the Port Washington Public Library stage.

Billy and Steven “Muddy” Roues have been making music together since they were kids growing up in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn and in rural Pennsylvania. They are joined on this show by long-time drummer and collaborator, Ed “the Hammerhead” Steinberg on drums. All of them are journeymen in the music business, having crossed paths, and walked along with, some of the greats of Blues, Rockabilly, Rock’n’Roll, Country, Soul, Folk, Jazz and Rhythm & Blues, including B.B. King, Bo Didley, Pete Seeger, Chuck Berry, and many others. The experience of working with those artists that were and still are mentors and idols to them, whether onstage, in the studio, in film and television, or in the songwriting process, has left an indelible mark on the Roues Brothers. Their ‘History of Blues to Rock’ series of shows has been gathering an enthusiastic following over the last few years.

The Roues Brothers’ music can be heard worldwide on the internet, in movie and television soundtracks, and on numerous recordings. They recently garnered new fans when a song of theirs, ‘I’m Movin’ Out’, was included in a popular video game (‘Fallout New Vegas’), in several movies and on the Netflix show ‘Portlandia.’ The PWPL thanks the Friends of the Library for its support of this program.
