Event Details

This concert documentary film, directed by Adrian Maben, features the English rock group Pink Floyd performing to an empty Roman amphitheater in Pompeii, Italy in 1971. Footage filmed in a Paris television studio the following December was added for the original 1972 release. The film was re-released in 1974 with additional studio material of the band working on their landmark album, The Dark Side of the Moon. The 2002 ‘Director’s Cut’ adds unique footage from NASA’s Apollo program. Additional rarely-seen Pink Floyd live footage will close the program.
