SoundSwap : Long Island Classic Rock Band 'Shindig!' Performs Live

Join the library's own Tony Traguardo as his band Shindig! returns to the Lapham Room for a special SoundSwap event!

Shindig! performs songs from each musical phase of the tumultuous '60s, along with tunes that topped the charts in the 70s. Founding band members John Keating, Steve Leunig and Chris DaGrossa formed the core of Shindig! with Tony Traguardo in 1994. Shortly after guitarist Barry Fisch and vocalist Janet Grunwald (a Port native) came on board, Shindig! began performing in venues all over Long Island. In the band's first review the music newspaper The Island Ear called their show "... an amazing trip through the music of the '60s and 70s.” Four of the band's original members will participate in this very special reunion event, along with the band's long-time drummer, Port Washington's Karl Schmitt.
