SoundSwap: Local Rock Trio 'Velvet Mills' Performs Live / 'Almost Famous' Acoustic Duo Opens

Long Island’s own trio of original rock artists, Velvet Mills, are coming to the library to bring you a "sought after, profound musical experience."  The band offers up a dynamic mix of eclectic songs, performed raw and real. Guitarist and lead vocalist, Stephen Goldberg makes the most of melody either with his words or through his introspective, experimental soloing.  On bass, multi-instrumentalist Tony Sion lays down a groove like no other. Tony is known for playing bass lines that go beyond the typical and into the flavorful.  Rounding out the trio is Brian Currie, whose “more is more” approach to playing drums gives Velvet Mills its attitude.
