Event Details

For 16 years, Long Island-based Gathering Time (Stuart Markus, Gerry McKeveny and. since 2022, Christine Sweeney) has toured in the US and internationally, mixing interpretations of '60s and '70s classics and traditional tunes with their strong original songs. Their sound reflects the genre's pioneers: The Byrds, Peter, Paul & Mary, Crosby, Stills & Nash and Joni Mitchell, with an acoustic/electric alchemy all their own.

WFUV's John Platt has called them "among the finest performers in the New York metropolitan area, with "harmonies that can charm the birds out of the trees, strong original songs, and a savvy repertoire of cover songs.”

Gathering Time returns to the library with an exclusive performance featuring the group's fine original songs, augmented by a few written by friends and other contemporary songwriters and, perhaps, a few traditional folk or select covers by the groups that inspired them.
