SoundSwap: David Bennett Cohen In Concert

Pianist and songwriter David Bennett Cohen returns to the PWPL stage. Cohen will perform songs from his solo releases and his years with Country Joe and the Fish.

David Bennett Cohen has been delighting Port Washington Public Library audiences at the since he first appeared here in 2009. He has found his performances for the SoundSwap series to be "...the most enjoyable gigs any musician can hope to have. I love the space, the crew, the piano, and especially the people who come to hear me play. I feed off of the energy that I get from the folks who come to see me, and it brings out my best performances".

Mr. Cohen's career in blues, folk and boogie-woogie began over five decades ago as a member of Country Joe and the Fish. He was also a member of The Blues Project, and has played with artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Mick Taylor, Richard Thompson, Jerry Garcia and Huey Lewis. Cohen has also released a number of instructional videos for piano and guitar. David will be performing songs from his entire career, including some from most recent album, Seems Like A Good Time For The Blues, which has received universal rave reviews.
