Screwball Comedy with Philip Harwood, Program 3: "Ball of Fire"

(1941-111 min.). Billy Wilder and Charles Brackett scripted Howard Hawks’s classic about a nightclub singer (Barbara Stanwyck) taking refuge from gangsters in a house full of stuffy English professors (Gary Cooper among them).

The film is free to view on Kanopy through the Library. All you need is your Library card. We will meet at 7 pm on Zoom for the intro by Phillip Harwood. Then you will leave Zoom to watch the film on your device, and then return to Zoom for the post-film discussion with Phillip Harwood.
