Waterway Through Time

The current Erie Canal follows a path that has been used for centuries. Although primarily used for recreation today, this corridor for trade, conquest, immigration, and shipping spawned cities and states. Today’s Erie Canal continues a process of re-inventing itself and the communities it flows through. This illustrated lecture led by William Van Dorp, will tell some of these stories of heritage and re-invention.
