The glamorous actress, who passed away this day in 1995, stars in "Week-end at the Waldorf" (1945-130 min.). Characters whose lives intersect at New York’s landmark hotel include an ailing soldier (Van Johnson) hoping to romance an ambitious stenographer (Lana), and a glamorous movie star (Ginger Rogers) who mistakes a world-weary war correspondent (Walter Pidgeon) for a jewel thief. The screenplay by Sam and Bella Spewack and Guy Bolton was inspired by Vicki Baum’s Grand Hotel. Robert Z. Leonard directed. NOTE EARLY START TIME 7 P.M.
