Port Washington Play Troupe

The Port Washington Play Troupe invites you to our staged reading of the 1946 James Stewart IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE, as adapted by Port Washington’s very own Bob Nissen from the Lux Radio Theater version. The tale focuses on Clarence, an angel in pursuit of receiving his wings, who tries to help a desperate and suicidal George Bailey. In addition to our reading, we will be presenting several singers performing songs of the 1940s, and afterwards we invite you to partake in a dessert celebration.
