Event Details

Optimistic people are more likely to present themselves effectively on their resume and during job interviews. They are also more likely to land jobs for which they are well suited and which are personally fulfilling, be promoted and receive fair compensation for their advancement. Now more than ever, it’s even a greater challenge to remain optimistic. This workshop will provide tools to help jobseekers work on attitude and perspective, and learn how to present themselves as hopeful and confident. The topics covered include defining optimism and pessimism, understanding cognitive theory, and reflecting optimism in one’s job search. Presented by Constance Hallinan Lagan, director of The Entrepreneurial Center for Small Business Development, and made possible by the Career & Personal Finance Center.
