November Noir: "Dark City"

(1951-98 min.). Charlton Heston made his big screen debut in William Dieterle’s story of a gambler who causes the death of one of his victims (Don DeFore), then falls in love with the man’s widow (Viveca Lindfors). Lizbeth Scott plays Heston’s girlfriend, Dean Jagger is the police detective on Heston’s trail, and Jack Webb and Harry Morgan appear as Heston’s business partners.
