Purpose of Meeting

I've just published a biography of my mother, who was the real Mrs. Robinson behind the song.

Our family lived in Port Washington from 1975 to 1986, and the town is featured in the book. My mother loved Port Washington, and I consider it my hometown.

We especially loved the Port Washington Public Library. Mom spent more of her free time here than probably any place in town. We sat in the big, comfy chairs and looked out the huge windows toward Manhasset Bay. I took a yoga class, watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail and chose a book that later became my first purchase of a hardcover - all at the PWPL.

I've been appearing at author events locally in Maine, including The Abbey bookstore in Scarborough and Baxter Memorial Library in Gorham, and now I want to bring this program home.

I am happy to sign copies of my book brought from outside.
