Job Search Boot Camp is an 8-week intensive workshop designed to help participants obtain employment through networking, taking place on Mondays, May 2, 9, 16, 23 and June 6, 13, 20*, 27 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Registration begins April 5 for Port Washington and Town of North Hempstead Residents. Registration for all others begins April 19. Participants will be:

  • Motivated to conduct an effective job search
  • Instructed on using LinkedIn and other forms of social media
  • Guided towards time management and developing job objectives
  • Assisted with their personal brand and elevator pitch to build their profile
  • Given resume and cover letter advice
  • Advised about building an effective network to find a job in today’s marketplace

Job Search Boot Camp is made possible by the Career & Personal Finance Center. Presented by Maria Themistocleous-Frey, President and Founder of Executive Consultants of New York, Corp. and the ECNY Foundation, a non-profit corporation that specializes in career coaching and professional development. *This is an online class taking place on Zoom except Week 7 (June 20), which is an in-person networking event at the Port Washington Public Library. Once registered, participants will receive the Zoom info prior to the start of the first class.
