The Frick Collection, in NYC recently underwent a major renovation and enhancement project making critical updates and additions to its historic space. Housed in a 1914 Fifth Avenue landmark mansion, the Frick has operated as a public art museum for nearly 90 years. Honoring the building’s original character while respecting the historic architectural preservation, the remodeled Frick will once again present their world class collection of great masterpieces by Vermeer, Rembrandt, Velazquez, Bellini, Titian, El Greco, Piero, Holbein, Van Dyck, Fragonard, Whistler and many others.
A very special exhibition of “Vermeer's Love Letters” featuring three paintings by the Dutch master (two loaned from Dublin, and Amsterdam,) depicting women writing letters and revealing themes of love, longing, and intimacy to utilize the new special exhibition space in summer 2025 and accompanied by a catalog of the same name.
The Frick makes its highly anticipated reopening on April 17, 2025. Professor Thomas Germano will present this visual lecture focusing on the renovations, new features, and the collection of world class art.
