Join us for an art reception and artist talk with the current artist in residence, Antonio Masi.  At 3:00 p.m. he will give a visual presentation "New York's Golden Age of Bridges."  For 100 years New York City was the center of bridge building in the world. Mr. Masi will speak about the nine major bridges, Brooklyn Bridge, Williamsburg Bridge, Manhattan Bridge, Queensboro Bridge, Triboro Bridge, George Washington Bridge, Whitestone Bridge, Throgs Neck Bridge and Verrazzano Bridge. And he will give a brief history from the political, engineering and design perspective.

Antonio Masi is President of The American Watercolor Society, has been featured in The Artist’s Magazine, PBS’s “Sunday Arts”, NBC-TV’s “Weekend Today in New York”, and Newsday. His solo exhibitions include the Queensboro Bridge Centennial Commission, The Forbes Gallery, The New York City Transit Museum, and The Salmagundi Club. His work was also highlighted in The New York Times video “Living City: A Tale of Two Bridges”.
