Following a multiyear renovation, The Metropolitan Museum of Art is reopening its suite of galleries dedicated to the Arts of the Ancient Americas, Africa, and Oceania in the Michael C. Rockefeller Wing in late May 2025. Over 1,800 objects in wood, gold, feathers, and stone celebrate the artistic traditions from the diverse regions of Sub-Saharan Africa, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, Mexico, and South America. Join museum educator, Alice W. Iglehart, as she explores the highlights of these collections and the brand-new galleries.
