Join museum educator Alice W. Iglehart as she begins a year-long series celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States of America, beginning with a lecture on Gilbert Stuart, who is widely considered one of America's foremost portraitists of all time. His best-known work is an unfinished painting of President George Washington that has been the image on the US one dollar bill since 1876. Join Alice W. Iglehart, for a talk on Stuart’s life, career, and process.
