Afternoon on Broadway with Stephen Nachamie - Controversial and Groundbreaking Productions

Join Award-Winning Stage and Film Director Stephen Nachamie on a journey through some of the most controversial and sometimes banned productions of New York Theatre and Broadway.  He will examine such productions as the plays of Lillian Hellman, including The Children's Hour, Sholem Asch’s God of Vengeance, Hair, and Spring Awakening.

This program is part of the Library's recognition of Banned Books Week including topics about censorship and freedom of expression.
