Health Presentation: Dr. Jennifer Mieres and Dr. Stacey Rosen on Women's Heart Health 

Heart disease is a leading cause of death in women, and there are vast disparities in treatment. Learn how to minimize your risk factors, recognize symptoms, and advocate for your own health. Our presenters have recently co-authored "Heart Smarter for Women: Six Weeks to a Healthier Heart."      

Nuclear Cardiologist Dr. Jennifer Mieres is a leading expert and patient advocate in the field of cardiovascular disease in women. She was recently awarded the Physician of the Year Award by the AHA, the American Heart Association. Dr. Mieres also serves as the Chief Diversity Officer at Northwell Health. 

Cardologist Dr. Stacey Rosen is Senior Vice President at Northwell's Katz Institute for Women's Health, and a former recipient of the AHA's Physician of the Year Award. She has received numerous teaching awards, and serves as a member of the Scientific Advisory Council for Womenheart: the National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease.
