Guitar Lessons for Beginners

Learn beginner-level acoustic guitar! NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! A free series of three one-hour classes. During the lessons, you’ll learn: well-known songs; easy, straightforward guitar learning methods (none of which require you to read traditional music notes!); songs played one note at a time and others with full chord sequences. In order to participate, you must: be a Port Washington resident; bring your own acoustic guitar (no electric guitars and/or amplifiers allowed), be fourteen or older, and register for all three classes (since each lesson will pick up where the previous one left off). Only ten students are allowed for the entire series of classes, so try to sign up on the day that registration opens!
