The Friends of the Library’s “FOL University” scholarly lecture series returns on Sunday, November 10 at 1:30 p.m. with Russell Powell, Associate Professor of Philosophy at Boston University, and Paul Freedman, Professor of History at Yale University. Dr. Powell, who has appeared at FOL U twice before, specializes in the philosophy of science. Dr. Freedman, who was a featured speaker at the FOL’s Book & Author Luncheon in 2017, is a food historian who will speak on what we mean by “American cuisine.” Refreshments will be served. FOL
