For the 2023 series, each session will go beyond the basic concepts introduced in previous sessions and will delve into 5 topics in depth to inspire you and increase your productivity and success.

Part Five - DIY Fertilizers and Environmentally Friendly Disease and Pest Sprays. Learn how you can use simple, easily obtainable ingredients to support the health of your garden.

Every gardener needs to confront the challenges of pests and disease, even when you do your best to keep the soil healthy, water intelligently, and provide air circulation around your plants. Vegetable gardeners have the additional concern of using methods that are appropriate for food. Learn about home-made solutions that are both environmentally and budget friendly.

Each session will be led by longtime vegetable gardener Bea Helft, who is a Board Member of Plant a Row for the Hungry Port Washington. This series is appropriate for people at all knowledge levels. These sessions will be virtual only on Zoom.  Please note registration is required and you can register once and can attend any of the meetings. This series is sponsored by Plant a Row for the Hungry Port Washington.
