As part of our summer reading theme, "The Adventure Begins in Your Library," we have been enjoying films about pirates and adventures out at sea. We take a different spin on this theme with tonight's film screening of Pirate Radio (2009 - 117 min.) based on a true story from the 1960s about a group of rebellious deejays who defy a government ban on rock music and take to the seas to broadcast music to millions of fans. Written and directed by Richard Curtis and starring Philip Seymour Hoffman, Bill Nighy, Rhys Ifans, and Kenneth Branagh.
No reservations are required.
