Film: "Cause For Alarm!" (1951 - 74 min.)

Join us for this special film screening of Cause for Alarm!, scheduled to coincide with the Author Event with Foster Hirsch on Thursday, February 8 at 7:00 pm.  Mr. Hirsch will be discussing his new book Hollywood and the Movies of the Fifties, on February 8th and the 1951 film Cause for Alarm! was recommended by Mr. Hirsch as an excellent primer for his book talk.

In this suspense film, invalid George Jones (Barry Sullivan) mistakenly believes his wife Ellen (Loretta Young) and his doctor (Bruce Cowling) are having an affair and are planning to kill him.  He writes about his concerns in a letter to the district attorney.  But when George suddenly drops dead, Ellen is faced with finding a way to retrieve the letter.
