Brian Aherne, Olivia de Havilland, Lionel Atwill and Lana Turner star in producer/director James Whale's "The Great Garrick" (1937-89 min.), in which a theatrical troupe poses as innkeepers to give pompous Shakespearean actor and producer David Garrick his comeuppance. After a brief intermission, George Cukor's "Zaza" (1939-86 min.) stars Claudette Colbert as a singer in love with a married man (Herbert Marshall).
