Film historian and librarian Philip Harwood discusses three films starring Edward G. Robinson which were produced during the post-war period, all of which fall into the film noir style of filmmaking. Each movie is available to view on Kanopy. Tonight, "Scarlet Street" (1945). Criminals Joan Bennett and Dan Duryea take advantage of middle-aged painter Robinson in order to steal his artwork. Fritz Lang directed.
