Film historian and librarian Phillip Harwood will present and discuss four films from the early years of the career of the Master of Suspense, Alfred Hitchcock. Tonight he presents Sabotage (1936. 76 min.) In a thriller loosely based on Joseph Conrad’s novel The Secret Agent, Mrs. Verloc (Sylvia Sidney) discovers that her husband (Oskar Homolka), a London cinema owner, is a terrorist agent.

These virtual programs will begin on Zoom with a 10 minute introduction with film historian and librarian Phillip Harwood. You can then follow a link to Hoopla to watch the film remotely for free. Afterwards, return to Zoom at the designated time for further discussion of the film.
