The beloved actress passed away at 82 last December. We remember her with two sparkling romantic comedies directed by George Marshall, both released in 1959. Showgirl Maggie (Ms. Reynolds) demands a month of connubial celibacy from her new husband, Air Force sergeant Joe Fitzpatrick (Glenn Ford), in It Started with a Kiss (104 min.). After a brief intermission, we present The Mating Game (1959-96 min.), in which tax collector Lorenzo Charlton (Tony Randall) arrives at the farm of tax dodger Pop Larkin (Paul Douglas) and falls for the farmer’s daughter, Mariette (Debbie).
