Film historian Philip Harwood continues his series celebrating filmmakers and performers born a century ago. Tonight, he will discuss the life and career of Rita Hayworth and screen Gilda (1946-110 min.), in which gambler Johnny Farrell (Glenn Ford) is hired by casino owner Ballin Mundson (George Macready) to mind his gorgeous new bride Gilda (Rita).
