Tamara de Lempicka (1898-1980), was a Polish painter who spent her working life in France and the United States. She is best known for her highly stylized Art Deco portraits of aristocrats and the wealthy, and for her highly polished paintings of enticing nudes. Her fabulous life and antics is the subject of a Broadway Musical opening Spring, 2024.  As part of the Library's celebration of Women's History Month, Professor Thomas Germano will present a visual lecture about the life and art of Tamara de Lempicka.
