World Travels with Ron Brown: A Visit to Bethlehem

Bethlehem is famous as the city of King David of Israel. The city later gained global fame as the birth place of baby Jesus and Roman Emperor Constantine’s mother, Saint Helen, constructed its first church there in the third century. Canaanites, Jews, Persians, Egyptians, Romans, Greeks, Arabs, Crusaders, the British, Palestinians, and today Israelis have ruled the city and it remains a city of conflict. Dr. Brown lived in the Holy Land for five years, from July 1971 to October 1976 and spent many a Christmas in this glorious city. FOL
